Celebrating global recognition & a shared vision for success
By Chris Stock, Percipient
Chris Stock, Managing Director at Percipient, shares reflections on an unforgettable experience and what it means for the future.
In December 2019, Percipient was honoured to be named a Sage Platinum Elite Partner, joining an exclusive group of Sage partners from across the globe recognised for outstanding contribution, high growth, and commitment to customer success.
This accolade is not only a reflection of our incredible team, it’s a powerful validation of our strategy, our customer-first mindset, and our deep partnership with Sage. The award came with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the beautiful island of Nevis in the West Indies—a celebration of success, collaboration, and shared ambition.
A Call from Sage, A Moment of Pride
When I received the call from Dewey Forrester, EVP of Partners at Sage, confirming our place among the Platinum Elite, it felt like the ultimate early Christmas present. The recognition was based on our rapid growth, customer achievements, and unwavering commitment to Sage’s vision of becoming a world-class SaaS business.
The invitation to Nevis wasn’t just a reward, it was a powerful reminder of the trust and respect we’ve earned in the global Sage partner community.
A Trip to Remember
The journey to Nevis was every bit as special as expected. After a four-legged journey that ended with a boat ride to the Four Seasons Resort, we were warmly welcomed by the Sage events team.
What followed was four days of networking, collaboration, and celebration alongside 27 other Sage partners and their guests.
From welcome drinks and team activities to an inspirational Partner Awards Dinner hosted by Dewey Forrester and Ron McMurtrie, the atmosphere was one of unity and ambition.
Being able to accept the Platinum Elite Award on behalf of the Percipient team—at a villa overlooking the Caribbean—was truly an honour.

A Shared Vision for the Future
One of the standout moments was breakfast with Sage CEO Steve Hare, where he spoke openly about the future of Sage, the importance of partner ecosystems, and the company’s continued evolution as a SaaS leader.
It was encouraging to hear how central Sage partners are to that journe, and how the strength of Sage’s leadership team will support our collective success going forward.
Giving Back with the Sage Foundation
Perhaps the most moving part of the trip was a Sage Foundation event that brought local Nevis schoolchildren together with Sage partners to build and donate computers. What started as a simple CSR activity became something truly memorable: working side-by-side with the children as they completed coding tasks and embraced new technology.
It was a meaningful reminder of why we do what we do, and how technology can open doors and transform lives.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude & Focus
As we returned from the sunshine of Nevis to a much cooler UK, I was filled with pride, gratitude, and renewed determination.
Sage Platinum Elite wasn’t just a celebration; it was a commitment to keep doing what we do best: helping businesses transform their finance functions, achieve operational excellence, and grow with confidence.
We’re excited about the future of our partnership with Sage and inspired to make this recognition a regular fixture in the Percipient story.
