The start of a new year always brings with it reflection and resolution, and in what has been yet another eventful and tumultuous year across the world, 2023 is likely to be remembered in the history books as the year in which the WHO declared the COVID pandemic was officially over. But of course, the resulting changes in how we live and the speed at which digitalisation has been embraced to support this are still very much with us as we move into 2024.
Changing Times
2023 was a big year for Percipient for many reasons. As we’re seeing across global markets, change continues at an ever-increasing pace. This was reflected in our business last year, and May saw us finalise the sale of our Sage X3 division. Supporting a dedicated focus on cloud and Sage Intacct, it was sad to say goodbye to some of our amazing colleagues and customers, but it was an important part of refining our strategy and aligning the business to a changing market. As demand for cloud as the cornerstone of digital transformation prevails, Sage Intacct is a world-class platform designed to scale for growth.
A Record Year for Customers
Our customers continue to effervesce about how amazing Sage Intacct is, and never, in my experience, has a product captivated the whole team in such a way. There is an energy and excitement surrounding it, and we feel genuinely privileged to bring it to the market, helping organisations to unlock intelligence and instil agility.
The numbers reflect this sentiment, as 2023 saw a record number of new customers and a 100% customer retention rate. Crucially, it was also a record year for customer success stories, with customers across different sectors wanting to share the many varied business benefits Sage Intacct is bringing to their operations.
Celebrating Business Success
2023 was also a big year for Percipient as we celebrated our 20th anniversary in June, which hardly seemed possible. This milestone was marked with an event at Carden Park Hotel & Spa, where the team came together.
On the back of several Sage awards in recent years, including “Sage UKI Partner of the Year”, we were delighted to receive the “Sage UKI Industry Specialist Partner of the Year FY23” award in December.
This award not only recognises the successes we’ve seen this last year but is a testament to the outstanding efforts and dedication of our team at Percipient.
There is a real vibe and energy embedded in our culture, which not only is reflected in our conversations with customers but is frequently cited as a reason they choose to work with us.

The 20th-anniversary event we held at Carden Park highlighted the talent and brilliance of our people and the culture we’re lucky enough to have created. Every member of our team is incredibly excited to hit the ground running this year, build on the changes and successes seen in 2023, and continue to deliver great things to our customers.
As digitalisation continues to be synonymous with business success, we are looking forward to helping our core markets, and indeed some new ones, to transform, expedite intelligence and instil the agility necessary to react to change and scale in the years ahead.
