From Sage 50 to 200 to Sage Intacct
As part of an initiative to modernise its financial management, The Beaumont decided to replace its Sage 200 system with one which delivered modern, cloud-based capabilities for scale, future-proof intelligence, and growth plans.
The team needed to develop a more efficient and effective way of working, with increased automation sought to free up finance team resources. With innovation as the goal, leveraging these resources to add strategic and operational value to the business was imperative.
Sage Intacct was selected based on its close alignment with The Beaumont’s goals and its ability to seamlessly integrate with revenue and procurement third-party applications across the hotel’s digital portfolio, using Percipient Cloud Connect. Managed by Percipient, The Beaumont went live with Sage Intacct after just a seven-week project.
New Possibilities

Instead of spending time searching for data, the team can focus on a specific area via the intuitive dashboards, delve into more detail as needed, and challenge assumptions to refine planning and performance.

This modern approach to financial management within The Beaumont has proved particularly valuable in supporting a new executive team, who can now access up-to-date financial information at any point. Month-end board packs for management meetings are generated in just a few days and provide accurate, in-depth analysis, which gives executives a single, consistent version of the truth from which to support decisions and planning.
The more reliable, timely, and granular insights, supported by integration with revenue and procurement systems for a cohesive view, allow the board to have much more meaningful and proactive conversations to resolve queries and highlight opportunities.
For example, with four entities — hotel operations, The Beaumont’s parent company, and three other entities — Sage Intacct manages each P&L deftly via its multi-entity management capabilities, demonstrating individual performance across different tabs within the dashboards. In parallel, Sage Intacct’s ability to create consolidated reports quickly not only saves time but delivers consistency and control.
