Percipient Sage Intacct Consultant, Grace Freeman, gives us her overview of what you can expect from the latest software update.
Sage Intacct Release 2 2022 (R2 2022) includes new features and enhancements to help you work smarter and more efficiently. In the second release for 2022, you’ll see enhancements in accounts receivable and cash management, updated permissions, more insights in the audit trail, and a new look and feel to Sage branding.
What’s New in the Latest Release?
- Creation rules now generally available
In R1 2022, Sage Intacct rolled out creation rules to early adopters – now the this feature is generally available for all users. Now, you can add a new type of rule that creates journal entry transactions in Sage Intacct to match incoming bank transactions. This saves you time and eliminates manual data entry processes. For example, you might want to automatically create journal entries for bank fees and daily deposits. - Dunning notices
Introducing dunning for accounts receivable collections. Dunning is the process of communicating with customers to collect overdue balances. These communications can progress from gentle reminders to stronger prompting to remit payment as accounts become more overdue. After you set up dunning in Sage Intacct, print or email notices to customers to inform them of overdue accounts. - More insights in the audit trail
Enhanced audit history reports to give you more details. When you create an audit history custom report, you can now add the field name, and before and after fields to your report, which allows you to see the changes made on your records. This expands the capabilities of the reports and makes meeting compliance and auditing goals easier. - Updates to receiving payments
Save time when you receive payments in accounts receivable by automatically applying available credits. Additionally, you can now create journal entries, adjustments, and advances directly from the receive payments page using new shortcuts. Learn more about the latest updates. - VAT tax defaults in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Save time by setting a default tax schedule for your supplier or customer contacts. When transactions with taxable line items are associated with that contact, the tax details from the assigned tax schedule are used as the default for the line entry, eliminating the need for manual data entry. - Capture tax information for reports
New enhancements in tax submission tracking make it easier than ever to capture tax submission information for your custom reports. - A new look for Sage Intacct
When you sign in, you’ll notice Sage Intacct looks a little different. Debuting a simpler sign-in page, new logo, and header and footer colours, Sage is establishing greater consistency across all products, including Sage Intacct.
