Proark UK Hotels Turns to Percipient for Sage Intacct Finance Solution
The UK arm of Denmark-based property group puts Sage Intacct at the centre of Proark UK Hotels Ltd.
Proark UK Hotels is owned by the Danish-based real estate property group Proark. Following an agreement with hospitality management group Accor, Proark UK Hotels successfully refurbished and rebranded a portfolio of six hotels, incorporating 864 rooms, previously managed under the Radisson Park Inn brand.
Situated in key locations in Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff, Bedford, Telford, and Harlow, each hotel champions the high standards associated with the new Mercure brand while channelling unique, respective styles influenced by local culture and traditions.
Designed for Hospitality
Proark UK Hotels sought a new financial management platform and went live with Sage Intacct in April 2024. Having reviewed a selection of systems from SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and Xero, Sage Intacct was selected based on its hospitality-specific capabilities, superior reporting, and Percipient’s extensive experience in the industry.
Talking to a selection of Percipient’s customers confirmed that Sage Intacct was the right package. Following a rapid 12-week deployment, Proark UK Hotels is already seeing substantial value.

An Easy Transition
Seven month-ends in, the finance team is really impressed with the ease and level of visibility associated with using Sage Intacct.
Because each of the hotels’ General Managers (GMs) has access to the system and doesn’t need to rely on the finance team to e-mail reports, they are much more in control of their own destiny, as Tara explains: “Reporting is on another level, with GMs able to access profit and loss accounts continually to understand their cash position and performance better. They can see their figures prior to close, which not only ensures a better understanding of P&L but means they can confirm they’re happy with costings and provisions made before committing.”
The visibility and potential to analyse a whole range of areas not only reinforce accuracy, but where significant anomalies exist, the team can investigate and remediate these before they become problems.
More granular data on the leisure facilities within some hotels means that benchmarking and switching up levers for success can be performed much faster to maximise opportunities, mitigate costs and drive better overall performance.
“The versatility of Sage Intacct is another area which is proving popular, as we can build reports according to whatever KPIs or specifics we choose, whether it’s footfall, energy usage or catering costs, and amazingly, this is possible in just a few clicks. Reporting to our owner and management company is straightforward as we have live access to reports in whatever format we select,” Tara adds.
