Celebrating People, Embracing Growth: A Record Year
Chris Stock, Managing Director at Percipient, gives us a glimpse into some of this year’s events, successes and high points (quite literally) and explains why the team is in its best shape ever as we head into 2025.
Wow – what a year it has been. Sometimes, it’s only when you take time out to reflect and put pen to paper, so to speak, that you realise quite how much has happened in just 12 months.
For me, 2024 has been our best and most rewarding year. I want to thank all our customers for being part of that and our colleagues at Sage for their ongoing support.
Celebrating a Century of Customer Wins
Not only are we on the cusp of signing our 100th Sage Intacct customer, but it’s been a record year for new customers overall. To support this, we’ve expanded our team by 24% and further consolidated our footprint in hospitality, with 60 customers spread across the hotel and leisure industries.
We’ve also extended our reach into professional services, recruitment in particular, and anticipate significant growth in this sector over the next 12 months. We are also enjoying helping some newer customers in the dentistry and care home communities transform their financial management. All our customers are supported through our helpdesk and cared for by our CSM team.
Taking Story Telling Up a Level
But of course, the numbers only paint part of the story. We love to follow our customers’ journeys and see how Sage Intacct, supported by our team, is helping them transform their financial management, drive greater intelligence in their operations, and pursue growth. This year, we have published a record number of customer success stories, at least one each month, to be precise, which is a testament to the value and sheer transformational benefits our customers are seeing.
A Record Year for Awards
We do love an award here at Percipient, especially those which recognise the effort of our fantastic team, and 2024 has not disappointed. We were delighted to learn that we won the Top EMEA Intacct VAR NCA ARR Revenue award, which essentially translates to us selling the most license value to new customers on behalf of Sage in FY24.
And most notably, we won Sage Intacct Partner of the Year for the second time (the only partner to have achieved this). Both accolades guarantee us a place on the annual Sage Platinum Club, an accolade we’re immensely proud to share.
Achieving this level of success requires bold vision, dedication to excellence, and market leadership. Your hard work and strategic execution have set you apart as a valued partner.
Outstanding Contributions
Without sounding cheesy, the customer successes and award wins are really only made possible by the outstanding people we have. We have continued to grow and invest in our team. To see everyone’s contribution recognised, and our people coming together to form part of a fantastic working environment and culture across the business, is what drives us. Our customers tell us time and time again how fantastic our people are, and nothing makes me prouder than hearing this, it’s what we’ve built the success of Percipient on.
Scaling New Heights in Giving Back
One of our proudest people achievements is the amazing work our Marketing Manager, Michelle Duffy, has accomplished in raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support since October 2023. A cause close to all of our hearts, Chell not only set herself a target to give up her beloved chocolate and sweet fixes for an entire year (amongst other things) and rallied us to support her on numerous mountainous treks and hikes, but she also combatted her fear of heights to mark the end of the year’s fundraising with a zip line flight across the Welsh countryside.
Supported by Sage and joined by myself and other colleagues, Chell’s fundraising total of £13,000 is testament to her drive, warmth and creativity, and she truly embodies our Percipient values.
Expanding Skills
We’re always complimented on the range of skills and backgrounds we have amongst our team, and we’re excited to build on this with some of the diverse and industry-specific experience our newer recruits bring. The hybrid working model we have works really well for us in sourcing the very best skills and supporting the right work/life balance for our employees, and this makes getting together at events such as our recent Christmas party all the more important and enjoyable. Axe throwing and karaoke were the order of the day this year and it’s fair to say that there are untapped skills in both of these fields!
A Bright Year Ahead
I can’t wait to build on the brilliant work and successes that 2024 has seen as we look ahead to 2025. With a clear structure in place for growth, and surrounded by the brightest, most dynamic and in fact, kindest professionals, we’re all ready to help our customers continue to transform their operations to embrace a more intelligent way of working and support them as they continue to thrive in their respective markets.
