Sage Intacct Collaborate: Improving
Teamwork & Communication in 8 Easy Steps
If you’re new to Sage Intacct Collaborate, follow our 8-step guide below to find out how to
expedite conversations and boost productivity. The best news is that it’s free and available now.
1. Messaging in One Place
Using the Collaborate tool, all Sage Intacct users can communicate and collaborate in a central place. There is no need to track down an e-mail or folder to find a relevant conversation. It’s right there at the source within Sage Intacct.
With a full record of communication, everyone who can access that item sees the same information and can view all related messages. By having everyone on the same page, decisions are made faster and more informed.

2. Rigour & Regulatory Compliance
Every record or notation will map itself to an audit history, bringing greater rigour to regulatory compliance. Through being able to quickly view what happened, where and why, the time to gather information is massively expedited. These can be stored against specific transactions and made available in the Sage Intacct Collaborate feed to have it immediately available when reviewing a record in Intacct.
Links can be added where relevant, and if additional input is required to remediate pending issues, users can be notified.
Crucially, once a project, event or customer has been brought to a close, the group can be archived to ringfence the communications trail and reopened as and when auditing requests take place.

3. Idea Sharing
Collaborate Centre provides a central forum for users to contribute notes, insights and ideas, helping to connect teams and promote discussions. This not only helps to encourage an environment of continuous improvement but allows ideas to be captured and revisited where relevant.
If you want to add a Collaborate feed to your Dashboard, all messages you have been tagged in can be viewed instantly from your landing page. As well as making life that little bit easier, anything that might require your attention as soon as you log in to Intacct is there for you to action.
Through connecting product teams with direct feedback from customers, products, and campaigns, learnings can be captured, and opportunities capitalised on, helping the team to drive greater proactivity and succeed.
4. Group-Based Collaboration
Where dedicated collaboration is needed, the Groups feature allows a pre-selected set of people to join a conversation. For example, if you’re working on a team project, you can create a group for your team to share project-related files and information.
Sage Intacct Collaborate can provide a space for you to communicate throughout the course of a project by setting up a group (public or private) that comprises your project team’s members.
Project team members will then be able to access all correspondence and files related to that project, as well as receive email notifications when there’s new activity that requires their attention.

5. Dashboards
Through adding Collaborate feeds to your Dashboard, it’s easy to get an overview of the daily tasks, reports, or conversations taking place in a given area, or group. Dashboard Snapshots allow you to post a snapshot of a dashboard to help other users follow changes in information.
These can be edited to highlight key points using editing tools, before sharing.
6. User-Based Access
Sage Intacct Collaborate can be restricted to users who need it. Using the permissions section in the setup of Sage Intacct, users can be pre-assigned as appropriate. For example, audits might only need to access reports, while certain users may be prohibited from viewing sensitive customer-related documents.

7. Preferences
The frequency at which you’re notified about new messages, and format, is entirely up to you. Sage Intacct Collaborate gives you the ability to be notified when someone posts on their profile page, comments on any of their posts or comments, posts or comments in a record that they follow, or are specifically mentioned using the @mentions feature.
In the preferences section, this can be set up to ensure notifications are aligned with the tempo you set.
8. Salesforce Integration
For those using Salesforce, integration enables you to communicate on records that are shared between Salesforce and Sage Intacct, bringing together your sales and finance teams and allowing them to communicate seamlessly.
