Warwick International is a leading supplier of speciality chemicals that is recognised both for excellence in customer service and product quality. With headquarters in the UK, chemical distribution companies in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and South Africa as well as offices in Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region, Warwick International manufactures and markets speciality chemicals for a diverse range of industrial applications.
Industries served include: Household and industrial detergents, Textile processing, Coatings, inks, resins and plastics, Pulp processing, Petrochemical and refractory industries, Water treatment, Industrial, institutional and domestic biocides, food and nutrition and personal care products.
Why Oracle?
Warwick chose to first implement the Oracle Applications E-Business Suite in 2000. There were several main drivers in moving away from their existing system which included:
- Total business systems integration, better materials and resource planning, efficient stock handling and logistics planning functionality, and significantly quicker month end reporting cycles.
- Oracle was chosen because it's rich functionality satisfied these requirements and provided Warwick with additional benefits such as; immediate user-configurable reporting using Oracles Discoverer tool, the ability to upload data for month end forecasting using the Applications Desktop integrator and finally a secure, robust industry standard back-end relational database allowing interfaces with a host of external applications and management information systems.
- Warwick decided to upgrade to 11.5.10 to utilise the latest Oracle technology and functionality and ensure their Oracle technology infrastructure is up to date as they continue to expand their usage of the product.
Why Percipient?
Warwick decided in January 2005 to upgrade their existing 11.5.6 install and chose Percipient because of our reputation in the Process Manufacturing industry and past experience with our consultants and their knowledge both of Oracle Applications and Warwick's business and processes as several of the Percipient consultants worked on the initial Oracle Applications 11.5.1 project.
"The choice of Percipient for the upgrade was an easy one, the process was explained very clearly by their experienced team and we were made to feel extremely comfortable. We were allocated a consultant for the functional and customisation work whose OPM knowledge is extensive.
The process was never going to be straightforward as we were upgrading hardware, database version, operating system and applications version. However the process has been less fraught with Percipient than our previous 11.5.3 to 11.5.6 upgrade, which was only an Applications upgrade.
Knowing the consultants from the original 11.5.1 implementation there was no hesitation in employing their skills for this upgrade and the end result and effort shown has brought both stability and peace of mind to our business systems.
The upgrade represented the ultimate test of Percipients Oracle Applications skills. As a result of this successful project I have since had no hesitation in permanently moving Oracle Applications support to Percipient from a significantly larger support partner."
